In 2010, I decided to earn my REALTORS® license in order to expand upon my real estate career. Fairly early on I recognized that my heart most enjoyed working with individuals in single family homes. Focusing on helping other people reach their dreams became my passion. Seeing the look on a first-time homebuyers’ face when they walk into their new home is one of the greatest pleasures in this business.
Can’t just any Realtor® open a door during a buying tour? Don't all agents post information for listings into MLS? The answer to both questions is YES! To be honest, there isn’t a whole lot of difference between agents in how they unlock a door or push the publish button.
The magic happens in how well we communicate as an effective team, in using wisdom to develop a strategic plan based on your individual motivations and goals, and when many pitfalls are avoided through skilled negotiation and leadership.
My promise is to be a guiding force to keep you on the path, as emotions ebb and flow during the home transitioning romance, as you become settled in your new private palace.
Continuing education is critical, especially in this industry. Over the years, I have earned the following designations and certifications:
-GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute). This program is through the NAR (National Association of Realtors), the largest trade organization in the US. This is a generalized program at a Master's Degree level.
-ABR (Accredited Buyer's Representative) This program is also through NAR and is specialized training in being a well-rounded Buyer's Agent.
-SRS (Seller's Representative Specialist) This global designation is designed to elevate professional standards and enhance performance through ethically representing sellers.
-PSA (Pricing Strategy Advisor) This certification helps Realtors understand how Appraisers determine value. This is crucial for both Buyers and Sellers in all types of markets.
-CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) The Real Estate Negotiation Institute provided this certification. From understanding my sub-conscious biases when negotiating, to creating skillful communication strategically stated for a defined desired result, this multiple day training was a blast.
-AHWD (At Home With Diversity) This 6-hr course is intended to enhance the understanding of diversity, Fair Housing, and better work with today's increasingly diverse pool of home buyers and sellers.
